Skin City, not Sin City.

Skin is in this Summer of 2022. But let’s face it, skin is always in. And, as a makeup artist in Las Vegas, this town isn’t Sin City, but rather Skin City.

In a town where we average 10 THOUSAND plus weddings a month, the temperatures surpass 110 degrees on the regular and the dryness can chap your lips just thinking about it, skin is not just in, skin is a must. I have been blessed with the opportunity to do what I love, and gifted with the ability to do it well. Skin is perhaps one of my favorite “tasks” when I get to paint a face. I pride myself on my techniques, and making skin look lawless without a filter or photoshop. This…starts with the products.

As far as complexion, I have been a big proponent of Temptu and Tarte Cosmetics. Face Tape by Tarte is my top choice right now when it comes to complexion, it photographs beautifully. And, as a wedding and production makeup artist, products that work for me are a must, because in Sin City, we work smarter not harder.

Smooth and glowing skin is my absolute forte and a standard to my esthetic of work.

Some of my top choice complexion products are listed below.

  • Airspun, extra coverage translucent powder

  • Tarte, face tape foundation (if unsure about your shade, DM me or stick to their Neutral tones

  • Tarte, shape tape concealer

  • Tarte, glow wand

  • TooFaced, skin hangover primer with coconut water

  • MAC Cosmetics, strobe cream

  • MAC Cosmetics, glow play blush

  • NARS Cosmetics, powder blush

  • Sigma, blush palette

  • Iconic London, bronzer

  • Iconic London, cream contour palette

Some of my favorite wedding makeup tools include my Beauty Blender Sponges (I prefer the pink ones, I know they say they’re the same, but nope…they’re not!), a concealer brush whatever works for you, and a fan brush for contouring.

Tip of the Day: When in doubt, blend it out!
